Google Earth -

1. When do Google take these pictures?

Our images are taken by satellites and planes during a period of the last 3 years. They are not updated in real-time and are dated. Some imagery is older than others.

2. Does Google Earth capture imagery in real time?

Nope, 3 years is the average age of the image. Only the governement have access to high powered real time satellite photography and that's very expensive!

3. Why is my house blurry?

Google earth offers imagery in different resolutions in an attempt to make sure you have a seamless scrolling ability. We offer high resolution imagery for thousands of cities and more are on the way.

4. Will Google earth run on my PC?

Google Earth uses the 3D Graphics card that appears in most modern PC's. Although you don't need a top of the range PC to run Google Earth I would reccomend you check out our Google Earth System Requirments page.
